Welcome to The Cinematoscope; a blog that encompasses all things related to film and cinema.

I spend so much of my time talking about cinema and reading about cinema that it makes sense to create an open forum for sharing my passion. It also gives me an opportunity to share my academic writings on various aspects of the cinema.

I wrote my first screenplay at the age of 15 and was the first recipient of The Jack Rosenthal Screenwriting Award from the University of Central Lancashire. I also National Diploma in Broadcasting and Journalism, a Higher National Diploma is Film Production and Operation, a 1st class honours Degree in Screenwriting and graduated Cum Laude in my MA in Media & Culture from the University of Amsterdam.

Hopefully this blog will encourage me to do more academic writing (something I've allowed to slip in recent years).
